Today Karen tells Lucy her TOP 10 FUN FOLKLORE FACTS from "Witchcraft & Second Sight in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland" - a very well-known book by Folklorist John Gregorson Campbell. While Karen and Lucy weren't (sadly) drinking this episode, you DEFINITELY may want to consider pouring a wee dram and settling in for some real fun as this stuff is FUNNY and will be sure to both delight and surprise you!!!
We highly recommend the visual version for this one in particular, lots of good fun!

You guys are hilarious. My grandmother (MacKay) always rubbed her wedding ring (gold) on a stye…it ALWAYS went away within a day …maybe that is how long it normally takes to cure itself….don’t know but obviously it is a Scottish practice handed down; she also left windows open if someone died at home - or made sure they were closed if they died elsewhere so their spirit wouldn’t come to visit and get stuck in limbo.

Oh Donna that is actually so funny! No way!! I’ll be sure to make sure Lucy sees this too - maybe there is something to that then! Was she a witch? 😘
Love it!! And thanks so much for sharing and listening!!
